Adam Borecky, who was previously a graduate assistant at the Center of Christian Bioethics and a dually enrolled MD-MA Bioethics student at Loma Linda University, recently had an article entitled “Reweighing the Ethical Tradeoffs in the Involuntary Hospitalization of Suicidal Patients” published as the leading article in The American Journal of Bioethics. Mark Ard, also a graduate from Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine, responded published a peer commentary entitled “What If They Say No?” to Dr. Borekcy’s article in the same issue. Both Dr. Borecky and Dr. Ard are currently resident psychiatrists at Loma Linda University.
